Hi Deacie and people from here,
Im Marcelo from TigraTuning.com.br . Here in Brazil we're just starting...
We had only 4000 Tigras imported by General Motors in 1998 and begining of 1999. Some of them came with the damn EGR valve. These models have ABS breaks and 2 air bags, and we call them the German ones. Others came without the EGR valve, without ABS and with only one air bag, and we call them the Spanish ones.
Mine is the spanish one, thank god.
There are some older Tigras here, 1995 and even 1994, with the ecotec 1.4 engine, but these were imported by the owners themselves, not by GM.
Brazil is huge, and the Tigra is not well known around here. Most of the people ask me: "What car is it??" I think that's because I took off the logos ehheh
We have some meetings here, but small ones. As I said, we are just begining, but getting bigger.
We are developing tuning parts ourselves, like spoilers, fronts, wings, etc... Companies here don't do anything for this car, because of the small number of Tigras in the market. It's not worth for them.
Deacie, you have a wonderful car, no doubt about that. I like the old style very much, but I know how these things are... we are never satisfied!!
The Punto lights are a nice option, Im glad you choose that. I saw another picture of the Tigra with these lights in a magazine, and they look pretty good.
I just would like to make you a suggestion. Why don't you put blue lights instead of the original lights? Just a suggestion.
